After a couple days of contemplation, a few conversations with trusted advisors, and some quiet time I’m willing to walk away from a potential opportunity. The cons are so tremendous that the singular pro of income generation is dwarfed.
Ownership and management are misaligned, based on my observations. I’m not willing to enter into situations that are potentially distracting. After about a 40–45 minute conversation with the manager, I’m more than reluctant moving forward.
I’ve pivoted my focus a bit from creation to income generation. I am in need of additional resources which require money to acquire. I have to generate an income to fund my reasons for being in the country and on the planet.
There’s a way to accomplish my goals without this opportunity and He will make it apparent.
Today, Wednesday, December 9, 2020, I am grateful that:
I sought the counsel of those whom I trust and actually will adhere to their counsel. All three counselors were not in sync. In fact, only one was; however, the one whom’s advice I’ll follow is the only one in a situation, with similar experience, as mine.
My perspective is that of abundance. My history includes a mindset where there wasn’t enough. Today, I believe there’s at least one more opportunity as good as, or better than the one I’m walking away from.
My hosting company fixed a problem I was having. It took me an exceptionally long time to find the number and get someone on the phone and I was beyond frustrated by the time he answered the call. I explained the situation and his response was along the lines of email me your error message and I’ll fix it. He said he could take the time to explain it or he would just fix it for me so I didn’t waste any more time. Happy he took the initiative, fixed the problem, and afforded me the chance to move on to another project.
