One of my mentors when I was in network marketing, Sam Pitts, said, “I was too busy driving to stop and get gas.” He was explaining how he’d missed a few bigger opportunities because he was so focused on the opportunity he was working. I’m having similar problems.

During the last year multiple opportunities have presented themselves. I’ve chosen to decline them all. Not because of the opportunities themselves but because the opportunities were not aligned with my purpose.

Vigilant is defined as keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties. Spiritual Suicide, for me, is the danger. To know and not do is spiritual suicide. I have to remain vigilant. I must fulfill my purpose. More and more opportunities will present themselves. Some will be advantageous, others not. I must recall my purpose, I do so every morning and night, review my plan for its fulfillment, and work towards that, eliminating and ignoring all other distractions.

Today, Wednesday, May 12, 2021, I am grateful that:

The move is just about completed. My internet will be installed tomorrow morning and that’ll be the final item for this initial phase.

I’m making some progress with my client. It’s not moving as fast as I’d like; however, I’d probably say the same thing even with more items completed from my initial contract.

I’ve been able to draw some boundaries in personal relationships. Some things, at this point, are not acceptable. I will not allow those things to continue to occur and if those affected by my boundaries don’t like it, they can either adjust or remove themselves from my life.

How do you remain vigilant?

What specific steps do you take to ensure you remain focused?

Be Great. Be Grateful!!!

If you feel this will help you or someone you know, please share to your timeline.
