In horse racing blinders are placed on horses so they only see what’s in front of them. The horses are forced to focus on the track in front of them and nothing else. I need that this morning.
I’ve been awake for over three hours and I’m just not writing. I’ve answered messages, made a couple of calls, and now watching the debates for president. Some days it’s more challenging to focus than others.
Today, Friday, October 23, 2020, I am grateful that:
I’m at least writing. It’s challenging now, more than ever. I’ll continue to press forward but I’ll have to put on my blinders.
I’m finding some sort of comfort in formulating a process. It’ll require more effort on my part but for now, I’m guessing that’s what needs to happen.
I’m able to recognize when I’m lacking in some areas. It’s frustrating but part of learning requires recognition. Once I am able to recognize the problem, I’ll be able to move into a solution.
