For some reason this morning the thought occurred that I hadn’t been working to “perfect” my craft. Yes, I’ve been writing more consistently. I write almost everyday, but I haven’t been practicing. I’ve been writing.

Maybe four or five years ago, I started adding words to my vocabulary. I also did exercises to write more succinctly. I used about five or six tools to get better. That was, as I mentioned, years ago. I haven’t worked as intensely on my craft recently. I became laxed. I think I may have plateaued.

Reaching a plateau is a fancy way of saying I got comfortable. To be one of the best, I can’t allow complacency. I must continue to practice. I must continue to manifest His grace. I must work towards perfection.

I won’t achieve perfection, but it’s a worthy goal. I can write my best. I can do what’s perfect for me at that point in time. So it’s back to the drawing board. It’s time to figure out new exercises. I must be professional. I must show my gratitude by taking care of the gifts given.

Today, Tuesday, July, 13, 2021, I am grateful that:

The thought of complacency with perfecting my craft came to me this morning. I hadn’t spent much time working on my gifts as of late. I need to revisit the drawing board, determine new ways to enhance my skill set, and get back to work.

I’m getting more time to work on my business. With my team in place, I have time to work on my over strategy and its implementation. It’s new and uncharted territory. Slightly uncomfortable, yet refreshing since that’s what I’ve been working towards for several years.

How often do you work on your craft?

Do you actively practice to enhance your skills?

Are you considered one of the best at what you do for a living?

How can you increase your skills?

What can you do today to move in that direction?

Be Great. Be Grateful!!!

If you feel this will help you or someone you know, please share to your timeline.
