In business and life, having a plan is important. Yet, it takes more than a detailed, well thought out, thoroughly researched plan to succeed. Plans change. Situations evolved. People relocate, die, or disengage. Market trends, salaries, educational and technological expertise morph, and many other outside factors affect business life and life in general.

What’s most important is having a purpose. In business and in life, living towards fulfilment of your purpose goes further than planning. Moving towards your purpose is like driving cross country. Along your journey you may encounter obstacles, detours, delays, horrific weather, car troubles, accidents, and much more.

Plans are great, but they are forced to change when meeting real life situations. If we are to arrive at our destination, we must adapt. We must change our plans. A willingness to be flexible and resilient. Be mindful of your purpose. It’s the driver of all your actions.

Today, Monday, August 30, 2021, I am grateful that:

My plans have changed once again. I’m not happy about them changing, but rather my ability to make the changes. Life happens and I will keep moving forward, towards my purpose, no matter what.

Veronica and I are speaking again. It’s been a challenging couple of weeks. More needs to been done and more will be revealed.

Opportunities still abound. It’s been a bleak outlook for several weeks, but I asked a few questions. I made a few calls. I did what I know how to do. I asked the right questions of the right people.

How many times has your planned changed?

How many more are you willing to change your plan?

Hopefully, you responded something like “as many as it takes.”

Be Great. Be Grateful!!!
