My contract with a client has over a dozen headings. Under those headings there are multiple items. I’m guessing there’s about 40 or 50 total items to be fulfilled at this point. With less than 30 days remaining in my contract, doubt has reared its ugly head. I’ve begun to think that maybe I can’t get those items completed. I’ve started to see deficiencies in most areas of this project. I’ve begun to think negatively and it actually affected my sleep, and my ability to sleep last night.

Well, that’s over now. I’m not going to put myself through some sort of mental agony or torture. I’ll do what I said I was going to do. I’ll organize myself, my tasks, and begin to eliminate them one at a time. After all, that’s how elephants are eaten.

Today, Tuesday, May 25, 2021, I am grateful that:

Inch by inch, it’s a cinch, just popped into my mind. I’ve been thinking about the entirety of my contract and that’s overwhelming. I can begin to eliminate item by item and make more progress. I can and will make my deadline.

Most days begin with this list. It’s a matter of perspective and this list changes my thought patterns to positive, uplifting thoughts. Those thoughts can lessen during the day, but it’s usually good for me to at least start off the day on a high note.

Veronica is solution oriented. When I spoke with her about my fears regarding my contract fulfillment, her response was, “How can I help?” She was ready to move into action. Not simply sit and listen to me complain or worry. That’s a great sounding board.

How often do you panic, like I did last night and some this morning?

What do you do when you have enormous amounts of fear or doubt creep in?

How do you eliminate or lessen those doubts and fears?

Who do you share your fears with?

What corrective actions do they suggest?

Do you implement their suggestions?

Be Great. Be Grateful!!!

If you feel this will help you or someone you know, please share to your timeline.
