My guests are still here. It’s great for Veronica. She’s able to speak Tagalog, bond with Filipinas, and not have to sit idly by as I work. For me, it’s still uncomfortable with other people here.

Veronica and I had a conversation about that last night. I explained how I’m used to being alone. That I’ve become solitary. That there’s something unsettling and comforting about being around so many people. Her concern for me is growing, yet I’ve resolved to serve for as long as possible. I’ve decided to help in this part of their journey for as long as He wants.

My discomfort is minimal in comparison with JW. A little more than three years old, he’s rallied a troupe to assist him. He’s the one undergoing the medical procedures. He’s the one adjusting, sitting, walking, and moving around with two casts on his legs. This will be his story for at least three months and, according to his doctor, there’s only about a 40% chance of success.

With so many champions, at such a young age, I believe his chances are 100 percent. I believe every procedure will be successful. I believe JW will walk normally. I believe his remaining procedures will prove the beginning of a wondrous life. I believe He takes care of His kids. I believe JW is His favorite.

Today, Sunday, May 30, 2021, I am grateful that:
JW has a positive attitude. Much can be accomplished with the right attitude. It’s my belief that his attitude will serve him well during this part of his journey.
Veronica is in a more familiar element. She’s had no adjustment period. She’s augmented her routine to accommodate our guests. No whining, no complaining, she’s getting it done. Whatever needs to happen, cooking, cleaning, entertaining, she’s doing it all with a smile and it’s refreshing.
Mo stepped up when needed. When he saw an opportunity to serve another, he did. He is doing what’s necessary to help those unable to help themselves. It’s an admirable trait.

How long will you be uncomfortable?

Do you consider the growth you can obtain when on the “other side” of your period of discomfort?

When able to serve, do you serve?

Be Great. Be Grateful!!!

If you feel this will help you or someone you know, please share to your timeline.
